Details on how we store and access your health information

Information Security at the Dentist

We take pride in keeping your private health information confidential.  Our staff are trained in appropriate HIPAA policies.

Your health information resides on an encrypted server with several redundant disks in our office.  We do not back up your health information to “the cloud”.  Your health data is backed up on an encrypted hard drive that is taken off-site at the end of each business day.

We have anti-virus and anti-malware software installed on each of our workstations.  Our workstations also require each employee to log in with their own username and password.  In short, if someone broke in after hours, they would be unable to access any health information as it would be securely encrypted on the server.

You can view our privacy policy online.  If you have any questions about our information security protocols, feel free to let us know.
